The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the public to reimagine their daily lives, especially individuals whose health conditions put them at higher risk. Everyday tasks like a trip to the grocery store for someone with a compromised immune system suddenly feels life threatening. In this piece, I examine the vulnerability of my mother as she goes to buy groceries amongst the first few weeks of the stay at home order as we notice the changes of the world unfold around us.
